Helga Renders

This sculpture grew from A Ray of Light, a painting of a young girl with the same quiet, inward presence.

In Serenity – Blue Lagoon, that stillness is carried by soft shades of blue. They move across the rough, organic forms surrounding the body and contrast with the peaceful face. The colour gives the sculpture a cool, enveloping quality, almost as if the figure has withdrawn into a quiet world of her own.

The painting and sculpture share more than their origin. One grew from colour and light, the other from form and material, yet both carry the same presence.

Two forms, one soul, shaped by the same light.

Material: resin with blue pigments, painted and finished with varnish.
