What began as a story about trust, a quiet dialogue between a cat and a robin, grew into something far deeper.
When I painted it, it spoke of courage, of the delicate balance between curiosity and connection. Two beings meeting in stillness, learning to trust the space in between.
Not long after, our cat went missing. For weeks, there was silence, only absence.
And then one day, the robin returned to our garden. The same small heartbeat of life, singing from the same branch.
Since then, this painting has become a memory of love and loss, but also of quiet hope, of how connection lingers, even when forms change.
It is about the softest kind of brave: opening your heart, again and again, even when it hurts.
