First date #1
2021'First date' is inspired by the painting 'Pretty in pink', which is also the title of the film. The sculpture is cast in a pigmented acrylic resin, then further finished with professional highly pigmented paint in shades such as pink, orange, yellow and brown. As a final coat she was given a layer of varnish. Helga uses the brush as she would paint it on canvas. She brings the image to life with precise, fine strokes.

This sculpture is very personal to the artist, she sculpted her own hands, her way to freedom. It resembles your desires , you will accomplish your goals even on a bumpy road.
The bird is a symbol of never giving up if you really want something so hard.
This piece is made of aluminum cement. The skin has a thin layer of plaster on different sides. It is a kind of unique thanks to the moulding process of different layers of aluminum cement. There is only one piece of the 'Black bird' in aluminum cement.
